Some urban areas are seeing a renewed exodus as workers and families seek the space and lower congestion offered by the suburbs. As reported in Boston and New York, home buyers are flocking to the suburbs, bidding up home prices and consuming an already limited inventory of available properties. This trend has been accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Homes are receiving multiple offers, some at or above their offering prices. More and more home owners who do not have their properties listed are being solicited by real estate agents encouraging them to sell.
